Text Messaging (SMS) & Mobile Terms
If you opt in to text messages from Hood Service Company, you consent to receive service-related and, where applicable, promotional messages at the number you provide, which may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. We do not sell or share your mobile opt-in or phone number with third parties for their own marketing, and mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies, Analytics & Your Choices (GPC)
We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law. You can opt out of Google Analytics via Google's browser add-on and out of interest-based ads through the Google Ads and Meta ad settings or industry opt-out tools (optout.aboutads.info).
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with trusted service providers who act on our behalf (scheduling/dispatch, call tracking, communications, hosting, analytics, advertising, and financing partners), and as required by law or to protect our rights. Some sharing for analytics/advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws; you may opt out as described below.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we will verify your request before responding.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly sell personal information for monetary value. Submit requests via the contact details below.
Your Privacy Choices
This section is the single place to exercise an opt-out, and it is what the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer points to. You do not need an account, and we will not ask you to create one.
Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” / targeted advertising. Three ways, any of which is sufficient:
- Turn off advertising cookies on this site. Use the cookie banner’s “Reject all” control, or clear your stored choice and choose again. This applies to the browser and device you are using.
- Send an opt-out preference signal. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out automatically — no form required.
- Tell us directly. Email [email protected] or call (903) 602-5108 with the subject “Privacy request”. An authorized agent may submit on your behalf with written proof of authority.
California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request to know, delete or correct your personal information, opt out of its sale or sharing, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and you may not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Hood Service Company does not sell personal information for monetary value, and does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days with notice. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision.
Canadian residents. Under PIPEDA — and, in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) — you may withdraw consent to our use or disclosure of your personal information at any time (subject to legal and contractual limits), request access to the information we hold about you and a list of who it has been disclosed to, and request correction of inaccuracies. Quebec residents may also request that we cease disseminating their information or de-index it where the law provides, and may request information transferred in a structured, commonly used technological format. Use any of the contact routes above; withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service that depends on it, and we will tell you if that is the case. Our privacy contact is reachable at [email protected].
Residents of other states. Where your state grants comparable rights (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Texas or Utah), the same routes above apply and we will honor the rights your law provides, including appeal rights where required.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
